Bridging Nations Through Innovation: Reflections from the Singapore–China Youth Exchange

Haoming recently had the honour of representing Singapore as a delegate at the Singapore–China Youth Friendship Story Exchange 2025, held in Chongqing to mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both nations.

Organised by the National Youth Council Singapore, the event brought together youth leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators from both countries to strengthen cultural and professional ties through storytelling, dialogue, and exchange.

Haoming was invited to deliver a keynote speech on "Digital Technology Empowering Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship", where he shared how purpose-driven tech can bridge not only industries, but people and possibilities.

“Digital technology won’t just empower youth innovation and entrepreneurship. It will empower a generation to build a future that is smarter, more sustainable, and more deeply human.”

Experiencing Innovation and Culture Firsthand

As part of the programme, delegates had the opportunity to visit ChangAn’s R&D Centre and smart mobility factory, gaining insight into Chongqing’s fast-moving innovation ecosystem—from AI to urban transformation.

Beyond the tech visits, the itinerary also included stops at cultural heritage sites and evening walks through Chongqing’s vibrant skyline, offering a deeper appreciation of the city’s rich history and dynamic modern identity.

Building Cross-Border Momentum

At Louken, we see this exchange as part of a broader commitment to deepen cross-border collaboration between Singapore and China. As we continue our internationalisation work in the region, opportunities like these are a powerful reminder of how business, culture, and innovation intersect to create meaningful partnerships.

More Than Business: Building Bridges That Matter

What made the trip truly memorable wasn’t just the innovation on display, but the friendships and human connections formed along the way. From late-night street food walks to deep conversations about entrepreneurship and purpose, the experience was a chance to reconnect with the “why” behind what we do.

Looking Ahead

Thank you to the National Youth Council Singapore, our gracious Chinese hosts, and the fellow delegates who made this exchange so meaningful.

We believe that the bridge will not be built by governments or corporations alone. We have a role to play.

Built by young entrepreneurs who dare to use technology not just to chase growth, but to create value, foster trust, and contribute to a regenerative future.

Let’s build something.
